Man attacked in attempted robbery on Oak Lawn street, police say Elizabeth Djinis
Two robbers beat a man early Monday in Oak Lawn, a neighborhood that has been beset by a string of attacks since last summer.
The victim was walking to his car shortly before 2 a.m. after leaving a business in the 3300 block of Throckmorton Street, near North Hall Street. Two people shoved him to the ground, struck him and searched his pockets, police say.
After the man told the attackers he didn’t have anything to steal, they went north on Rawlins Street.
