Dallas police are investigating the deaths of three people who were found dead in a Lake Highlands apartment late Saturday afternoon.

Police said they were called to the Montecito Palms apartments in the 8400 block of Skillman about 4 p.m. and discovered three bodies after entering an apartment unit.

The names of those found dead have not been identified and police continue to investigate.

Dallas police responded to two separate slayings about an hour apart this morning.

The first was reported about 5:50 a.m. Police found a woman stabbed to death in the 4900 block of Live Oak Street in Old East Dallas, police spokesman Juan Fernandez said.

About an hour later, police were called to the scene of a shooting in the 10200 block of Finnell Street in Northwest Dallas.

A man with gunshot wounds was taken to a hospital, where he died.

Sixteen people were arrested Wednesday on accusations they conspired to distribute cocaine and crack cocaine, according to federal authorities.

Dallas police say a man was robbed Wednesday as he walked outside his home in the Lake Highlands to get the paper.

Police said the homeowner stepped out of the home in the 10600 block of McCree Road about 7 a.m., when a man walked up behind him and pushed him back into the house.

The suspect tied the homeowner down and stole property from his pockets and the home. The suspect then fled in the homeowner’s car.
