A teenager is accused of making a mock gun with fingers to rob a taxi driver early Wednesday near Downtown Dallas, police say.

Carlos Jaramillo, 17, and two others were picked up by a Yellow Cab near Interstate 30. Jaramillo asked the driver to pull over so he could use the restroom in the 1300 block of S. Austin Street near Lamar Street. Dallas police have charged a man with criminally negligent homicide in the death of 16-year-old Eric Romero in July.

Juanito Benjamin Molina, 21, is being held in the Dallas County jail on a $15,000 bond after police say he confessed to accidentally shooting Romero in the head on July 15 about 10 p.m.

A woman who helped her husband carry out the revenge killings of the Kaufman County district attorney, his wife and a top assistant is expected to plead guilty to murder today in exchange for a lighter sentence than her estranged spouse received.

Kim Williams’ testimony helped prosecutors secure a death sentence for Eric Lyle Williams on Dec. 17. She testified that her husband shot and killed prosecutor Mark Hasse in January 2013 and then Kaufman County District Attorney Mike McLelland and his wife, Cynthia, two months later at their Forney home.

Prosecutors said the slayings were revenge murders for a theft prosecution against Williams in 2012. The burglary and theft convictions for stealing three county computer monitors cost Williams his spot as an elected justice of the peace, his law license and his livelihood.
