Body found near Farmersville identified as missing woman, Richardson police say Marc Ramirez

Investigators have identified a body found last week off State Highway 78 near Farmersville as the remains of Jessie Bardwell, who has been missing since May 9.
Bardwell, 27, who had moved to Texas from Mississippi late last year, had been reported missing by her parents. She was last seen alive April 29.
Her live-in boyfriend, Jason Lowe, was arrested on drug charges May 11, then charged with murder after police found blood, muddy boots and a bullet hole in his garage, according to court records.
Detectives searching Lowe’s house also noticed the “distinct smell of decayed flesh” in his garage, his arrest warrant affidavit says.
The Collin County medical examiner’s office is still working to determine Bardwell’s cause of death.
