Homeowner Fatally Shoots Armed Burglary Suspect: Richardson Police KXAS-TV (NBC5)
A alleged burglary suspect is dead after fighting with a homeowner over a gun in Richardson, police say.
The homeowner called 911 at about 5 a.m. Tuesday to report he was holding a man, identified as 22-year-old Derick Roderick Jackson, who had broken into his home at gunpoint.
Before officers arrived, Jackson began to wrestle with the homeowner over control of his gun.
Police say the resident shot Jackson during the struggle.
