Three Dallas residents who were kidnapped in northern Mexico last month have been rescued, Mexican officials say.

The Tamaulipas state government said the three were freed Monday from a criminal group’s camp along a highway near Ciudad Victoria. The leader of the group was killed and two people were detained, the government said.
