A 15-year-old boy who was shot in a north Oak Cliff neighborhood Monday has died, police said.

Efrain Hernandez of Dallas died Tuesday morning at Methodist Dallas Medical Center, the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s office said today.

Hernandez was shot in the torso Monday evening in the 200 block of South Lancaster Avenue, near the Dallas Zoo.

When officers arrived at the scene, they learned Hernandez had been taken to Methodist Dallas Medical Center in a private vehicle.
