Police are looking for a man who shot a pedestrian in the neck and stole his phone in the Red Bird area early Tuesday.

Shortly after midnight, a man was walking near the intersection of Kirnwood and Racine drives when a dark-colored sedan stopped next to him, police said.

A man came out of the sedan and shot the pedestrian in the neck. He took the victim’s cell phone and drove away.

A passerby found the wounded man lying on the ground and reported the shooting to police.
