An Irving man was sentenced to 15 years and eight months in federal prison Thursday for sex trafficking that involved a 12-year-old girl, the U.S. attorney’s office in Dallas said.

Luis Rivera, 19, had pleaded guilty in October to one count of conspiracy to commit sex trafficking of children. Rivera admitted to acting as a pimp and selling the girl for sex.
