SMU student flees from gunman who tried to rob her early Thursday, police say Naheed Rajwani
SMU police are looking for a man who tried to rob a student at gunpoint near the arts school early Thursday.
The victim was walking between the north side of the Owens Art Center and the south side of Peyton Hall about 3 a.m., when a man approached her and ordered her to “hand over all of your stuff,” police said in an email to students.
The student replied “no” and ran away. She reported the robbery to police later in the morning, around 10 a.m.
