Rockwall ISD teacher on leave as alleged sex assault is investigated Julie Fancher
Rockwall ISD placed a middle school teacher on administrative leave Tuesday after learning that police were investigating him in an alleged sexual assault of a child, the district said in an email to parents.
James Smith, a coach and P.E. teacher at Herman E. Utley Middle School, was put on on leave after Rowlett Police made the district aware of the investigation, the district said.
