Lewisville police launched last week a texting service that allows people to report suspicious behavior or send anonymous tips to police.
Tip411, from Minnesota-based company Citizen Observer, allows two-way conversations between police and anonymous tipsters. It offers a phone app for iPhones and Androids but also allows people to send text messages to police, Lewisville police officials said.
