Lancaster and Dallas police are trying to locate a man who led authorities on a brief pursuit from Lancaster to Red Oak and then to Dallas.

The chase started after 9 a.m. in Lancaster in the 200 block of West Belt Line Road, said Lt. Kelly Hooten of Lancaster police.

Hooten said he wasn’t sure what set off the pursuit. Officers lost track of the man’s SUV in the Dallas area, near Washington and Gaston avenues, around 9:50 a.m., Hooten said.
