Dallas cop struck by hit-and-run driver while working off-duty job in Uptown, police say Naheed Rajwani
A pickup driver sideswiped a uniformed Dallas police officer working an off-duty job in Uptown early Saturday, police say.
The officer, who was wearing his Dallas police uniform, was standing in a parking lot in the 2700 block of McKinney Avenue about 3:50 a.m. when he noticed a pickup truck moving toward him.
The officer tried to stop the truck and get out of its way, but the driver sideswiped the officer and didn’t stop, police said.
