Fort Worth police say they’ve arrested the founder of a nonprofit that helps at-risk boys and charged him with online solicitation of a minor.

Police say Developing Boys to Men founder and chairman Paul Jamison Jr., 33, was taken into custody after detectives discovered he sent texts to a teenage boy that were “sexual in nature,” according to the arrest warrant affidavit. (The affidavit and press release ID the boy as 15, but the affidavit also says he was born in 2002.) The affidavit also says Jamison texted the boy and asked him to send a picture of his penis, or else Jamison would take away his Xbox.

According to the affidavit, the investigation began Tuesday, after the boy’s family called police about the texts. On Thursday, says the affidavit, the boy was brought to Alliance for Children, Tarrant County’s child-advocacy center, where he recounted what happened to a female forensic interviewer.

Per the affidavit, the boy said during his interview that he’d been participating in a Developing Boys to Men program, and that he’d been on field trips with the organization. He also said that the organization’s chair was his “mentor.” … [visit site to read more]
