Mesquite police are asking for public’s help identifying the person responsible for severely beating a woman Tuesday night.

About 9:30 p.m., police were called to the 3500 block of Moon Drive, near Gus Thomasson Road and Interstate 30, for an injured person. Police found the 51-year-old woman unresponsive.

She was transported in serious but stable condition to an area hospital.
